Cyberbullying
Slang term used to describe online harassment, which can be in the form of flames, comments made in chat rooms, the sending of offensive or cruel e-mail, or even harassing others by posting on blogs, Web pages or social networking sites (SNS) such as Facebook or MySpace. Unlike physical bullying, cyberbullying can often be difficult to track as the cyberbully — the person responsible for the acts of cyberbullying — can remain anonymous when threatening others online.
Cybersuicide
Also called social suicide, cybersuicide is a slang term used to describe a suicide or suicide attempt that has been influenced by Web sites on the Internet. Cybersuicide is usually denoted by a public showing of the suicide or suicide attempt when the victim uses a Webcam to record the suicide attempt or provides a detailed discussion of their own suicide plans on public suicide-oriented Web sites and forums.
Cytizenship
A slang term used to describe the feeling of belonging in cyberspace. For example, this could be owning real estate in cyberspace, such as a domain name. It is also used to describe interactions of people in cyberspace through blogs, chat rooms, instant messaging, discussion forums and other places where people can communicate online.
Digital Divide
A term used to describe the discrepancy between people who have access to and the resources to use new information and communication tools, such as the Internet, and people who do not have the resources and access to the technology. The term also describes the discrepancy between those who have the skills, knowledge and abilities to use the technologies and those who do not. The digital divide can exist between those living in rural areas and those living in urban areas, between the educated and uneducated, between economic classes, and on a global scale between more and less industrially developed nations.
Flaming
Posting or sending a deliberately confrontational message via newsgroup, e-mail, etc., usually in response to a previous message.
Monitoring Software
Software products that allow a parent or caregiver to monitor or track the Web sites or e-mail messages that a child visits or reads, without necessarily blocking access
Netiquette
The informal rules of Internet courtesy, enforced exclusively by other Internet users.

Script Kiddie
A person, normally someone who is not technologically sophisticated, who randomly seeks out a specific weakness over the Internet in order to gain root access to a system without really understanding what it is s/he is exploiting because the weakness was discovered by someone else. A script kiddie is not looking to target specific information or a specific company but rather uses knowledge of a vulnerability to scan the entire Internet for a victim that possesses that vulnerability.
